Solving REAL Problems!

Kent Halloran is an Environmental Engineer with more than 30 years of experience designing and maintaining the infrastructure that communities depend on every day, specializing in stormwater and wastewater systems.

His interest in environmental stewardship began as a child after learning about the Cuyahoga River fire and attending one of the first Earth Day celebrations. Those experiences sparked a lifelong commitment to protecting Ohio's natural resources, improving public infrastructure, and ensuring future generations inherit strong, healthy communities.

Throughout his career, Kent has focused on practical problem-solving, responsible planning, and finding solutions that balance economic growth with environmental responsibility. As an engineer and former educator, he understands the importance of long-term thinking, fiscal responsibility, and investing wisely in the systems that support our quality of life.

Now, Kent is bringing that same problem-solving approach to public service. He believes the people of Ohio House District 86 deserve leadership focused on accountability, affordability, strong schools, reliable infrastructure, and economic opportunity. Rather than partisan politics, Kent wants to focus on delivering results and addressing the everyday challenges facing Ohio families.

Kent lives in Marion, Ohio, with his wife, Krista. He looks forward to meeting voters throughout District 86, listening to their concerns, and working together to build a stronger future for our communities.

What I'm Hearing Across District 86

I've been listening to your concerns throughout District 86, and what I'm hearing is:

  • Rising property taxes
  • Protecting personal freedom
  • Infrastructure and road concerns
  • Healthcare affordability
  • Supporting local schools
  • Protecting farmland
  • Economic growth that benefits local communities

Real Problems. Real Solutions.

Ohio families deserve leaders focused on solving problems, not creating more political division. Throughout District 86, I hear concerns about rising costs, property taxes, infrastructure, schools, healthcare, and government accountability.

These are the priorities I will focus on in Columbus:

Government Accountability

Restoring trust through transparency, ethics reform, and responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars.

Property Taxes & Affordability

Protecting homeowners and seniors while maintaining strong schools and essential services.

Infrastructure & Economic Growth

Investing in roads, broadband, utilities, and the infrastructure communities depend on.

Responsible Growth & Conservation

Protecting water resources, farmland, and communities while supporting economic development.

Protecting Personal Freedom

Protecting personal freedoms, privacy, and equal treatment under the law.

Strong Public Schools

Supporting students, teachers, and workforce development opportunities.

Higher Education & Workforce Development

Preparing Ohioans for successful careers through education, innovation, and critical thinking.

Supporting Farmers & Rural Communities

Ohio's farmers are essential to our economy, food supply, and local communities. I support reducing unnecessary burdens on farmers, protecting farmland, improving rural infrastructure, expanding broadband access, and ensuring agriculture remains a strong part of Ohio's future.

I don't have the backing of wealthy special interests. My campaign depends on supporters who believe that local communities deserve a strong voice in Columbus.
